# 6.2 Future Consensus Algorithm: Proof-of-Symbiosis (PoSyb) Concept

PoSyb is designed to replace the traditional Proof of Stake (PoS) and serve as the definitive consensus mechanism for Noah Chain.

PoSyb core: Nodes must simultaneously stake both XPULS (carbon-based trust) and YYY (silicon-based proof of work).
